Prince Andrew has no route back into the Royal Family fold despite attending an Easter engagement with members of the monarchy earlier this month.
Andrew made a surprise appearance alongside the Royal Family at Windsor Castle earlier this month for Easter Sunday.
The Duke of York was photographed arriving at St George's Chapel for the traditional Easter Mattins service.
He rushed inside the chapel, seemingly avoiding photographers, while other members of the Royal Family were also in attendance.

The Duke was joined by his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, with whom he has maintained a close relationship despite their divorce in 1996.
Their Easter appearance came just months after the pair pulled out of the Royal Family's Christmas celebrations.
Whilst the Duke went inside the chapel, the Duchess of York remained outside with Princess Anne.
Despite his Easter appearance, sources have now claimed that Prince Andrew's hopes for a return to royal life are over.

An insider told The Sun: "The door to a return is firmly closed."
The Duke of York stepped back from his role as a working royal in 2019 following his controversial interview on BBC's Newsnight programme.
Earlier this month, court documents emerged revealing concerning details about the Duke's associate Yang Tengbo.
These papers exposed that Yang Tengbo, an alleged spy linked to Andrew, was twice invited to meetings with King Charles.
A witness statement from Andrew's close aide Dominic Hampshire revealed these royal encounters.

During these meetings, the Duke, his aide and the King discussed Andrew's future prospects.
Specifically, they addressed "what the Duke can do moving forwards in a way that is acceptable to His Majesty."
The government had previously expressed concerns that Yang was attempting to exert influence over the prince.
Buckingham Palace has distanced the King from any knowledge of Yang's background.
A palace spokesman said: "While His Majesty met with The Duke and his adviser to hear outline proposals for independent funding over the past year, the individual known as H6 was not mentioned at any time or in any way as part of these discussions."
