Prince Andrew made a “calculated decision” to ensure a civil sexual assault case brought by Virginia Giuffre “went away”, according to a lawyer in the Jeffrey Epstein case.
Lisa Bloom represented eight of Epstein’s victims, and spoke to GB News about recently resurfaced allegations surrounding the Duke of York.
Andrew is mentioned more than 70 times in nearly 1,000 pages of interviews and transcripts released in the US in connection with Giuffre’s defamation case against Ghislane Maxwell which was brought forward in 2015.
The Duke has previously strenuously denied the allegations and paid millions a year ago to settle his civil case out of court with Giuffre with no admission of guilt, after she accused him of sexually assaulting her when she was 17.

“Poor, poor, pitiful Prince Andrew”, she said.
“Couldn’t make his own decisions as a grown man and a royal, it must be somebody else’s fault. It must be his mummy’s fault. Give me a break.
“This is a man who was surrounded by the top lawyers, the top advisers, he made a calculated decision to make the case go away.
“He should be held accountable for that and stop blaming other people, stop having his lawyer friends going out there making statements trying to exonerate him."
The Duke of York has always denied the allegations made against him.
He made no admission of liability in his out of court settlements with Virginia Giuffre during his 2019 Newsnight interview.
He claims to have visited Epstein post conviction because he wanted to tell him personally he was cutting off all contact.
Prince Andrew told BBC Newsnight in 2019 he thought it was the honourable thing to do.
the Metropolitan Police said in a statement: “We are aware of the release of court documents in relation to Jeffrey Epstein.
“As with any matter, should new and relevant information be brought to our attention, we will assess it. No investigation has been launched.”
The Duke of York's office has been contacted for comment.
