Prince Andrew has "plenty of options" if King Charles evicts the Duke of York from his £30million home, a royal commentator has claimed.
The Duke of York is understood to be facing increased pressure from his brother to vacate the plush property on the Windsor Estate.
It emerged at the weekend that the monarch is planning on removing funding for Andrew's security at the building, where he has lived for 21 years.
This would leave the disgraced duke in a precarious position with him unlikely to be able to afford the bill, worth £3million a year.
He is understood to be already struggling to pay for the maintenance of Royal Lodge, which he signed a 75-year lease for in 2004.
The duke committed to £7.5million worth of repairs and is required to fund its upkeep.
He currently lives there with his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, with the pair remaining close despite their divorce.
It is understood the King has earmarked the smaller Frogmore Cottage for Andrew, also located on the Windsor Estate.
It was previously the UK home of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle before they were evicted by the King.
Roya Nikkhah, Royal Editor for The Sunday Times, claimed Prince Andrew is not short of choice for a future home.
Speaking to ITV's This Morning, she said: "There are loads of options, don't you worry.
"The briefing around it, when it first started a while ago, was that the King was keen for him to move to Frogmore Cottage, which is not a cottage.

PA"It's a very big house with a very modest name. But it's not as grand as Royal Lodge.
"I think the King feels it would be more appropriate for him to move there and it would probably be cheaper for him to move there.
"Ultimately, it's probably going to be Charles paying anyway."
Other contenders for Andrew's new home are reported to include Wood Farm on the Sandringham Estate in Norfolk.
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:
Prince Andrew reportedly has no intention of moving into Frogmore Cottage (pictured)
PAPrince Philip retired there in 2017 and it is known for its cosy atmosphere.
On the same estate, the even smaller Garden House is another possibility, once home to the late Queen Elizabeth II's gardener.
It has previously been open for the public to stay there.
Another possibility for the duke would be the Castle of Mey in Caithness, a former home of the late Queen Mother.
