New bombshell court documents have been released concerning the Duke and Yang Tengbo

King Charles has firmly denied involvement with the alleged Chinese spy after being dragged into the Prince Andrew scandal.

A senior adviser to Prince Andrew has claimed in a witness statement that King Charles was aware of an investment fund linked to Yang Tengbo, an alleged Chinese spy.

The documents also claimed that the Duke and his adviser were secretly "smuggled" into Windsor Castle for meetings with the King. Dominic Hampshire, a senior adviser to the Duke, provided the witness statement to an immigration tribunal.

However, in a statement to GB News, a Buckingham Palace spokesperson said: "While His Majesty met with The Duke and his adviser to hear outline proposals for independent funding over the past year, the individual known as H6 was not mentioned at any time or in any way as part of these discussions."

In his 10-page statement, Hampshire claims the King was aware of the Eurasia Fund in which Yang Tengbo was directly involved.

Hampshire also revealed he had discussed such work not only with the King but with Sir Edward Young, Queen Elizabeth II's private secretary, and Sir Michael Stevens, Keeper of the Privy Purse.

The document states: "I have had two meetings with the Duke and His Majesty to discuss what the Duke can do moving forwards in a way that is acceptable to His Majesty."

Hampshire noted that "the Eurasia Fund and Aidan Heavey were discussed on both occasions with His Majesty. For both these meetings with His Majesty, despite less media interest in the Duke, we took all precautions to get in and out of Windsor Castle without being seen."

The Eurasia Fund aimed to channel Chinese investment into renewable energy projects in Africa. It would have provided an income for the Duke following his public fall from grace.

Sources insist the fund failed to get off the ground and never traded. It appears to have been linked to Eurasia Global Partners, incorporated as a management consultancy firm in November 2022.

Yang Tengbo, who also used the name Chris Yang, was a junior partner in Eurasia Global Partners, owning just under a third of the company.

He was banned from the UK on national security grounds after being suspected of links to the United Front Work Department, a controversial arm of the Chinese state.

This department seeks to befriend high-profile figures and shape narratives about China. Hampshire claims that at no point did any senior figure in the royal household suggest they sever ties with Yang or the fund, even after Yang's arrest.

An attempt to seek advice from the Lord Chamberlain, then Lord Parker, former director general of MI5, was swiftly blocked. "The Lord Chamberlain wouldn't give me any advice and pretty much dismissed me," he writes.

Hampshire's efforts to meet with security services were rebuffed, he claims, revealing he waited five months after requesting a meeting.

When it eventually took place, he says he was told there were concerns about Yang's level of influence. Hampshire tried to block the release of his statement because it contained "embarrassing" and "indiscreet" information.

However, the Special Immigration Appeals Commission lifted the secrecy order in the public interest.

In the witness statement, Hampshire claims the Duke is a "valuable communication point with China" who regularly exchanges letters with Xi Jinping, the Chinese president.

He states: "Whilst I think China would prefer a different royal, the reality is, to this day, that if the UK Government or the palace said that someone needs to see the Chinese president and talk to him, I think the Duke would be able to do that."

The statement suggests that Elizabeth II "encouraged" such regular communication, which was "useful to have". In a statement on Friday, Hampshire said he left the Royal household in 2022 and no longer advises the Duke of York.

He insisted the Duke "fully complied" when advised to cease contact with Yang and "did not receive a penny" from any Chinese entity. Hampshire added he is "now a private businessman" with no business interests connected to any member of the Royal family.
