However, according to a new report by the Times "the reality is rather different".
One source told the publication that Andrew has continued his business activities with recent trips to the Middle East and Switzerland.

He served as the UK's Special Representative for International Trade and Investment for 10 years until July 2011, building up a range of international contacts.
Princess Beatrice, 36, and Princess Eugenie, 34, are often pictured in Switzerland and the Middle East.
The two daughters of Prince Andrew are not working royals, so they are free to support independent charitable causes.
