He writes: "We set out, the dogs and I, on our southbound journey and I know the exact spot where the mobile phone signal comes back.
"The pings come thick and fast. 'Where are you, James?' 'We're desperate to get hold of you.' 'OK, we're really worried now.'

"At the time, however, irrationally – and unjustifiably – I feel annoyed, controlled. I'm a grown man. It has been the most formative trip of my life.
"I had not gone away to end my life. I'd gone to find a reason to live. And I'd discovered it. So why was everyone intruding?
"I picked up a voicemail from Pippa: 'James, we're all so worried about you. Where on earth are you?' Her voice was tearful with concern, with just an edge of reprimand."
James adds in the book that he opened up to his parents Carole and Michael Middleton about his mental health battle.
