Mike Tindall stays silent on royal occasion as Zara Tindall steps out alone

The royal equestrian's appearance at the event coincided with her son Lucas's fourth birthday on March 21.

The mother-of-three chose the Wiltshire event for her first competition of the season, which kicked off earlier this month.

Lucas, born in 2021, has previously been seen supporting his mother at competitions alongside his older sisters, Mia and Lena.

He was also seen at Cheltenham racecourse earlier this year with his parents and sisters, visibly excited in the stands.

Zara will be riding her own horses, Showtime and Class Affair, during the three-day event at Barbury Castle.

The equestrian competition marked a return to the saddle for the accomplished royal rider.

The timing created a double celebration for the Tindall family, with Lucas turning four on the same day his mother competed.

Mike Tindall, who has 588,000 Instagram followers, did not share any posts to mark his son's birthday milestone.

It remains unclear whether the former rugby star attended the Barbury Castle Horse Trials to support his wife.

The couple were last seen together publicly at the Cheltenham Festival last week, where Zara serves as a racecourse director.

Zara and her cousin Princess Eugenie coordinated in burgundy outfits as they watched the racing action at the Gloucestershire venue.

Lucas is 25th in line to the throne after his mother and sisters.

He was born six weeks after his second cousin, August Brooksbank, the eldest son of Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank.

The royal cousins had a joint christening at Windsor Castle in November 2021.

Both Lucas and August are expected to begin school this September.

The Tindall family continues to balance their royal connections with sporting commitments, with Zara regularly participating in equestrian events throughout the year.
