Meghan is launching a new podcast on April 8

Meghan Markle's success is a "bitter pill for some to swallow" as the duchess prepares for a second series of her Netflix show and a new podcast.

'With Love, Meghan', which first aired on March 4, will return for a second season later this year, as confirmed by Netflix and the Duchess of Sussex.

Meghan is also launching a new podcast, Confessions of a Female Founder, confirmed to be released on April 8.

The project, which will be launched on Lemonada, will see her have "candid conversations" with "amazing women" about the success and struggles of their businesses.

Royal commentator and historian Dr Tessa Dunlop suggested that Meghan has found success through "weaponing" her hate clicks.

She said: "How the world has loved to hate on Meghan for her serialised version of perfection - With Love Meghan.

"There is something deliciously ironic about the fact that Meghan has devised a creative strategy that weaponises all those haters and turns their clicks into profits. Well done her."

Meghan's series was initially met with largely negative reviews from UK publications.

However, the eight-part series has seen success, sitting in the Netflix Global top 10.

Dunlop told the Mirror: "Despite (or perhaps because of) the dismal reviews and universal loathing, With Love Meghan sits proudly in Netflix's global top 10.

"As for viewers back in Britain, Meghan's media triumph will be a bitter pill for some to swallow."
