Angela Levin has backed the couple to make an 'astonishing' move

Meghan Markle could be set for an “absolutely astonishing” trip to Britain to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games, according to royal author Angela Levin.

Speaking on GB News, Levin said the Duchess of Sussex is weighing up a move she has previously disregarded.

Hers and Prince Harry’s two children, Archie and Lilibet, could be among the travelling cohort which would present King Charles with a rare chance to see his grandchildren.

“She might be coming in May with Harry and the two children for the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games”, Levin said.

“This is absolutely astonishing because she has said ‘I won’t put my foot back in London’, which makes me think, why does she want to do that?

“She has taken over the Invictus Games with her speeches.

“It could also coincide with Princess Kate coming out of her recovery and working a bit more again.”

The international multi-sport event was founded by the Duke of Sussex in 2014 and sees wounded, injured and sick veterans and servicemen and women participate in a wide array of activities.

An insider has spoken out on the prospect of Meghan joining her husband in London, stating the Duke is “very keen” for it to happen.

They told OK! Magazine: “It’s important for him that they show a united front and focus on building bridges with the rest of the Royal Family.

“The move to bring the Invictus Games back to Britain is seen as an opportunity for Harry and he is very keen to take it.

“He is adamant that he wants Meghan and the children to join him, but I think she may be apprehensive and I think she finds being in the UK very uncomfortable.”

Meghan has avoided England since stepping back from royal duties with her husband and relocating to California in 2020.

But the Duchess was on duty in London last week via video link as she opened a new wing of an animal charity in honour of her late friend Oli Juste.

She emotionally told how the sudden death of Juste in January 2022 left her devastated as his friends and family gathered at the Mayhew in the north-west of the capital.

In the video message, Meghan said: “A heartfelt thank you to the wonderful team at Mayhew who have worked tirelessly to bring this dream to life.

“It was so important to find a way to celebrate Oli's memory in a manner that he would have loved.

“Mayhew is a beacon of hope for those in need and a shining example of what can be achieved when we work together.”
