"This initiative, led by the partner organization Mina’s List, has spent the past year building community through storytelling and creating a safe space for women who have resettled in the U.S. from Afghanistan.

"The evening included a shared meal that encouraged open conversation centred on gratitude and resilience.

"The Duchess expressed her deep appreciation to the attendees for sharing their personal stories and cultural experiences, underscoring her excitement for future gatherings that continue to strengthen these connections.

The couple stepped out at Invictus events in February across several days in Canada in what was seen as a preview of the first-ever winter edition of the sporting competition.

In addition to attending the earlier preview event in Canada, Meghan has joined Harry at the Invictus Games in the Netherlands and Germany in recent years.

She is expected to accompany Harry in February at the Vancouver games, with the couple reportedly weighing up bringing their son Prince Archie with them.
