Taylor Swift was desperate to meet Prince William despite snubbing an appearance on Meghan Markle's podcast, royal sources have claimed.
The pop singer and her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, took a selfie with the Prince of Wales and his two eldest children, Prince George and Princess Charlotte when the royals attended the Eras World Tour at Wembley Stadium last week.
Royal insiders told The Mail: "Taylor Swift was keen to meet the Prince of Wales while she was in London.
"They already know each other, so the meeting made sense."

In 2013, Swift sang at Kensington Palace, the London home of Prince William and Princess Kate.
During that performance, which was part of a fundraising concert for the homelessness charity Centrepoint, William memorably joined Swift and rock star Jon Bon Jovi on stage.
In 2022, it was reported that Meghan Markle wanted Swift to appear on her Spotify podcast series, Archetypes.
The Duchess of Sussex was thought to have sent the singer a handwritten note asking for her to appear.
However, Swift was never a guest on the 12-episode podcast series.
It comes as fans of the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have claimed that, in attending such a high-profile concert, William was "copying" Harry and Meghan, who famously interacted with US singer Beyonce in 2019.
When still part of The Firm, the Sussexes attended the London premiere of The Lion King.
Video footage showed the Duke of Sussex praising Meghan’s voiceover skills to the film’s director, Jon Favreau, as Beyonce and her husband, rapper Jay-Z, looked on.

At the same event, Harry also touted Meghan’s talents to Disney chief executive Bob Iger, in a move that appeared to surprise his wife, former television host Willow Bay.
During the conversation, Harry asked: "You know she does voiceovers?" Iger could be heard replying: "Ah, I did not know that."

Harry then responded: "You seem surprised. She’s really interested." The Disney chief then said: "We’d love to try. That’s a great idea."
Months later, Meghan was hired by the company to work on a project in exchange for a donation to Elephants Without Borders, a wildlife conservation and nature research charity.
