The Duchess of Sussex took to social media on Easter Sunday with a new video

Meghan Markle was filmed looking surprised by sudden visitors at her Montecito mansion.

The former working royal delighted her Instagram followers on Easter Sunday with a charming video of a mother duck and her ducklings crossing near her Montecito home.

The Duchess of Sussex, 43, shared the sweet moment on her social media account, capturing her genuine surprise at the unexpected visitors.

"Wishing you a Happy Easter full of love….and surprises!" Meghan wrote alongside the clip, which showed the duck family waddling in close succession across her driveway.

The seasonal sighting seemed fitting for the Easter weekend celebrations.

In the video, Meghan wore a white halter dress with a flared skirt and belt tied around her waist. The frock was adorned with black buttons on the crisp white fabric.

She completed her ensemble with gold jewellery and neutral-coloured ballet flats.

For her glam look, the Duchess opted for dewy, minimal makeup and tied her hair into a sleek chignon.

As the mother duck waited for her ducklings in the centre of the road, Meghan covered her mouth with her hand in a surprised gesture.

When the ducklings emerged from the woodland and quickly approached their mother, she could barely contain her excitement.

The Duchess opened her mouth in awe and brought her hands to her head, visibly thrilled. The clip was set to Louis Jordan's classic hit "Choo Choo Ch'Boogie".

Meghan and Prince Harry live in their £10.5million Montecito mansion with their two children: five-year-old Prince Archie and three-year-old Princess Lilibet.

The Sussexes have been California-based since stepping down from their duties as senior working royals in 2020.

Across the pond, King Charles and Queen Camilla attended an Easter Mattins service at St George's Chapel on the grounds of Windsor Castle.

They were joined by other members of the Royal Family, though Prince William and Princess Kate opted to skip the service.

Since relaunching her Instagram page at the start of 2025, Meghan has been giving followers new glimpses into her family life in California.

The Easter post comes amid a busy period for the Duchess, who recently launched her lifestyle brand As Ever, with the first products selling out within an hour.

Meghan has also found success with her Netflix series "With Love, Meghan", which has reportedly been renewed for a second series.

The couple recently celebrated these business successes with a "sunsoaked getaway" with their children.
