This meeting proved pivotal for the direction of her brand.
The connection with Simon convinced Meghan to reconsider her funding approach, having previously contemplated venture capital, private equity, or self-funding options.
Instead, she opted to strengthen her relationship with Netflix, which has now become a strategic investor in her company.
Meghan expressed being "blown away" by Simon and his team's work at Netflix.
"The reach from Netflix, coupled with my vision for the brand, felt like it was going to be a really perfect match," she explained.
The partnership includes support from Simon's global consumer products team, with whom As Ever's staff communicate daily.
"They have tremendous experience on licensing deals and turning brands and shows into really good products, like Bridgerton," Meghan noted.
Netflix appears equally enthusiastic about the collaboration.
"Meghan's passion for elevating everyday moments in beautiful yet simple ways... inspired us to help bring her vision to life through a curated assortment of products," Simon told Inc.
"We're happy to partner with her," he added.
The partnership with Netflix will enable As Ever to expand its product range significantly.
Launched in partnership with Netflix's CPG division, the brand plans to release new products in seasonal drops.
These offerings will extend beyond food and drinks into hospitality and home sectors.
This expansion is supported by Netflix, which signed a lucrative deal with Meghan and Prince Harry in 2020.
As Ever now has the backing of Hollywood's largest streaming provider as both a strategic investor and passive partner.
This arrangement gives Meghan's brand access to Netflix's extensive experience in product development and licensing.
The streaming giant's consumer products team will provide crucial support as the brand grows its product portfolio.
