Meghan Markle and Gwyneth Paltrow have seemingly put rumours of a rift to bed after appearing together in an Instagram post yesterday.

The pair were seen laughing alongside each other as Meghan ate a piece of pie.

This comes amid speculation about a feud between the two lifestyle entrepreneurs following the launch of Meghan's Netflix series "With Love, Meghan" and her new brand "As Ever" earlier this month.

The Duchess of Sussex also recently ventured into influencing with her ShopMy page.

Branding expert Courtney Johnson believes Meghan is making a strategic shift in her approach.

"Meghan has recognised that connecting with her audience requires meeting them where they are," Johnson told The Daily Mail.

"Her previous approach, which came across as disconnected from everyday realities, hasn't resonated well."

Johnson suggests this move towards authenticity could help build "significantly stronger connections" with the public.

This move into the lifestyle space has drawn comparisons with Gwyneth Paltrow's Goop, which launched in 2008 and has since expanded to include a private clothing label.

Despite speculation about a rivalry, Gwyneth previously dismissed rumours of any feud with Meghan.

In a Vanity Fair interview published last month, Paltrow said: "I don't know Meghan and Harry. I mean, I've met Meghan, who seems really lovely, but I don't know her."
