A new book claims Meghan told King Charles that two members of the royal household had made comments about her son Archie

Meghan Markle has accused two people of voicing “concerns” about her son’s skin colour, according to a new book about the royals.

An upcoming book by Omid Scobie has claimed that the Duchess of Sussex wrote private letters to King Charles, in which she named two members of the royal household that took part in the “conversations”.

The identity of the pair has not been disclosed in the bombshell book, and it is not clear whether they are members of the Royal Family.

However, Scobie stated that they are part of the royal household.

Scobie has claimed that he knows their identities but cannot name them as “laws in the United Kingdom prevent me from reporting who they were”.

The King and Meghan exchanged a series of letters in the spring of 2021, it has been claimed.

Meghan allegedly believed that “unconscious bias and ignorance” within the Royal Family needed to be fixed.

Writing back to his daughter-in-law, Charles wanted to clear up “something he felt strongly about”.

The book claims that there were “no hard feelings” between the King and his daughter-in-law.

Speaking to Oprah Winfrey in 2021, Meghan claimed that an unnamed member of the Royal Family spoke about “how dark his (Archie’s) skin might be when he’s born”.

She refused to disclose names, saying: “I think that would be very damaging to them”.

The exchange of letters between Charles and Meghan occurred in the wake of the Oprah interview.

The book, entitled Endgame: Inside the Royal Family, will be released next week and takes a “penetrative investigation” into the Royal Family.

However, extracts of the book are being serialised in a French magazine prior to its release.

Scobie has also claimed that Harry used his children as leverage to try and convince the King to let him keep Frogmore cottage.

The prince allegedly asked his father: “Don’t you want to see your grandchildren any more?” as he begged to keep the keys to their UK base.

King Charles ordered Harry and his wife Meghan Markle to leave their Winsor home in March 2022.
