Meghan Markle rolled her eyes at Doria Ragland in a new interview.
The royal, 43, briefly allowed the press into her home for a sneak peek ahead of the As Ever launch - the Duchess of Sussex's new lifestyle brand.
This comes after her Netflix series, "With Love, Meghan", was filmed at a different Montecito residence for privacy reasons.
Julia Moskin, a food reporter at the New York Times, described the rarely-seen home of Prince Harry and Meghan, who stepped down as working royals in 2020.

Meghan was showing Moskin and her mother, Doria Ragland, the recipe for Chantilly Lili, named after her daughter, Princess Lilibet.
Moskin wrote: "To finish the pudding, she got out the hand mixer to make Chantilly cream the vanilla-spiked, sweetened whipped cream that would give the dessert its name: Chantilly Lili, after the 3-year-old redhead who had just arrived home.
"Ms. Ragland said she still wasn’t convinced that she needed a hand mixer of her own; she has a KitchenAid stand mixer at home in Los Angeles.
"The duchess rolled her eyes at her mother, as daughters do."
Meghan was quoted as saying: “My mom still has Grandma Jeanette’s cast-iron skillet. That’s what I really want.”
The brand "As Ever" features jams, teas and baking mixes, with prices ranging from £12 to £28.
The products sold out less than an hour after launching this afternoon.
Speaking about her new venture, Meghan explained: "I need to work, and I love to work. This is a way I can connect my home life and my work."
During the same interview, Meghan addressed criticisms of her Netflix show "With Love, Meghan" being "out of touch".
When asked about viewers' complaints regarding her use of Le Creuset pots instead of simple cast-iron ones, Meghan turned to her mother and asked: "This is a thing, in 2025?"
Ragland simply replied: "Everyone is coming in hot these days."

The interview took place in the kitchen of Meghan's Montecito home, which she shares with Prince Harry and their two children.
The publication also revealed that a framed photo of Prince Harry with his late mother, Princess Diana, was displayed in the room.
