The Duchess of Sussex was reportedly left ‘furious’ after insisting photographs from her visit to London’s National Theatre were uploaded on the same day as the now-Queen’s domestic violence speech
Meghan Markle’s feud with Queen Camilla was sparked by an argument about photographs, it has been claimed.
The Duchess of Sussex is said to have snapped during a trip to London’s National Theatre in March 2020.
The 42-year-old, who served as its patron, officially stepped down from royal duties just weeks later.
Meghan reportedly insisted on having the photos published immediately.
However, she was requested to hold fire as it risked overshadowing Camilla’s long-planned speech on domestic violence.
Four photographs were quickly uploaded to the Sussexes Instagram account later that day.
The mother-of-two was snapped wearing a white blouse and pencil skirt as she inspected the venue’s Immersive Storytelling Studio.
An insider claimed the Duchess was to blame for uploading the photos on the same day as Camilla’s speech, The Daily Star has reported.
The source claimed Meghan was accused of trying to "steal Camilla's limelight" with the now-Queen "very upset".
They added senior royals asked Meghan to delay the release so she did not “overshadow" the then-Princess of Wales but she "refused to listen".
The Sussexes’ post, which is now unavailable after the couple closed their account, was captioned: “Yesterday, The Duchess of Sussex, Royal patron of the National Theatre, visited the Immersive Storytelling Studio in London, where emerging technology like Virtual Reality is being used to develop new forms of emotive storytelling.
“Recently, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex also visited Stanford University where part of their learning journey included a virtual reality presentation that allows the user to experience life through another person’s point of view.

The post reportedly received more than 500,000 but received a much more mixed response in the comments.
Prince Harry went on to criticise his stepmother in his Megxit memoir Spare.
The Duke of Sussex also took aim at his brother Prince William.
