Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's professional separation has entered a new phase with the launch of the Duchess of Sussex's solo Instagram account.
The duchess shared her first post on the account with @meghan as its handle.
The video, which was filmed by Prince Harry, shows Meghan running on a beach before she draws '2025' with her finger in the sand.
The post did not contain a caption and no further details are given on Meghan's Instagram page.

It remains to be seen whether Meghan will now use the account, which has amassed over 650,000 followers at the time of writing, to share updates about her professional work rather than the couple's official website sussex.com.
However, the new solo social media presence looks to be the next phase of Meghan and Harry separating their professional lives.
During the second half of 2024, the couple focused on building their individual brands rather than pursuing power couple status.

The Duke of Sussex also carried out international engagements on his own in the UK, southern Africa and Canada last year.
In 2024, Prince Harry returned to the UK several times without Meghan, including meeting King Charles after the monarch's cancer diagnosis in February.
The royal appeared in ITV's Tabloids On Trial programme in the summer and ruled out bringing Meghan and his children to the UK while his security provision remains at its current level.
Therefore, it is their solo appearances in the US and Canada that have indicated a shift in tactics combined with their growing pursuit of individual projects.
The Duke of Sussex founded the sporting competition in 2014 when he was still a working royal and has featured in a Netflix series titled Heart of Invictus regarding the games.

Meghan will star in a lifestyle and cooking series on Netflix in 2025, which could be one of the couple's final projects for the streaming giant unless their contract is extended this year.
Prince Harry is continuing to champion important causes and marked the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games at a special event in May, however, Meghan was absent due to the celebration taking place in London.

Meghan lived in Canada prior to meeting Prince Harry and has spoken fondly of the country and the years she spent living there.
The biggest indication of how far Meghan and Harry are taking their professional separation will come next month when the first-ever winter version of the Invictus Games takes place in Vancouver.
It would be a major change for the couple if Meghan did not attend the games after making back-to-back appearances at games in The Netherlands and Germany in 2022 and 2023 alongside her husband.
