Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have issued a new statement as their charity is no longer listed as “delinquent.”
Earlier this week it was reported that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s charity foundation Archewell was ordered to stop raising or spending money.
A document stated that the charity was listed as “delinquent” with the registry of charities and fundraisers for failing to submit its annual report and registration fees.
However, the couple have spoken out assuring that the required payments were made promptly and in line with the IRS’s processes.

California’s Department of Justice backed up the couple’s statement confirming that the foundation is “current and in good standing.”
A spokesperson said: “After being in touch with our Registry of Charities and Fundraisers, the organisation is current and in good standing.”

The delinquency note read: "An organisation that is listed as delinquent is not in good standing and is prohibited from engaging in conduct for which registration is required, including soliciting or disbursing charitable funds.
"The organisation may also be subject to penalties and its registration may be suspended or revoked by the Registry."
