Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have been branded "out of touch" as they thought "Frogmore would always be there for them", a royal commentator has claimed.
The Duke of Sussex recently changed his residency from the UK to the US, and listed an important date for the move in public records.
Documents submitted to Companies House showed Harry amended his filings for Travalyst to declare he is usually a US resident.
The duke chose the date he and Meghan were evicted from Frogmore Cottage as the day his formal US residency began.

The date of his change to US residency is listed as June 29, 2023.
The couple cleared all their belongings and handed back the keys to the property by July 2023.
Royal commentator Tom Quinn said: "Harry and Meghan imagined Frogmore would always be there for them even if they came back to the UK for just a few weeks each year and even if they were no longer working royals.
"That assumption speaks volumes about just how out of touch with each other King Charles and his son had become."

According to the commentator, it shows he was deeply affected by King Charles's decision to evict the Sussexes.
The commentator continued to tell The Daily Mirror: "At the time, few people realised what a slap in the face the eviction from Frogmore felt like for Harry – it was the last straw."
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex moved to the US in 2020 shortly after stepping down as working members of the Royal Family.
