Meghan Markle and Prince Harry jetted off on a Christmas holiday to Costa Rica with their children Archie and Lilibet.
The move looks to signal that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will spend the festive period away from the Royal Family and the UK.
Meghan and Harry have spent the last three Christmas periods in the US and their daughter Princess Lilibet has never celebrated Christmas in the UK.
The couple were seen walking through the trees and riding in a golf buggy upon arriving in Costa Rica on December 14.

Meghan and Harry reportedly spent the majority of their time in Costa Rice in Playa Carrillo and exploring the local beaches of Guanacaste province which are known for their perfect sand.
The couple left Costa Rica on December 20 and flew back to the US, where they are expected to spend Christmas.
In November Prince Harry rang King Charles on his 75 birthday in a move that appeared to be an olive branch to the Royal Family.
Meghan Markle also spoke to the King over the phone on his birthday.
The conversation between the Sussexes and King Charles could have opened the door to the couple spending Christmas with the Royal Family.
But the fallout from Omid Scobie's bombshell royal book Endgame, which was published at the end of November, looks to have wiped out any chance of reconciliation at Christmas between the Sussexes and senior royals.
However, the King has decided to expand the guest list for Christmas at Sandringham to make space for more family members.
