Recent Prince Harry and Meghan Markle announcements are subtle moves to remind the public ‘they are still around’, a royal commentator has claimed.
Richard Fitzwilliams joined Mark Dolan on GBN America to discuss recent Royal Family travails, with Princess Kate’s health dominating the discussion.
But Meghan and Harry have made announcements in recent weeks which Fitzwilliams suggests may have been done with Netflix in mind.
“I think the Sussexes specifically included these announcements to underline the fact they’re still around”, he said.

“Of course, Netflix is their big contract.
“In 2021, the couple were in the top 100 people in Time Magazine, but now they wouldn’t be in it because they have not done much.

“They have certainly taken steps to ensure that we know they are still in the business.”
Fitzwilliams made reference to recent announcements involving the couple, namely Meghan’s new lifestyle brand and the Archewell Foundation’s new winner of an annual award meant for figures who have overcome racist and sexist biases in the field of artificial intelligence.
The developments come across a backdrop where much of the royal discussion surrounds Princess Kate.

The future Queen recently sparked controversy after admitting to doctoring the first official image of her following her abdominal surgery in January.
Wild conspiracy theories have circulated regarding her whereabouts but the Palace have maintained that she will not be returning to public duties until after Easter.
She was yesterday spotted with her husband, Prince William, during a visit to a farm shop in Windsor.
In the video the princess can be seen with her hair down, wearing a black jacket and leggings, chatting with William and carrying a large white bag.
The Windsor Farm Shop is a short drive from their Adelaide Cottage home in the grounds of Windsor Castle.
People flock to the shop, which was the idea of the late Duke of Edinburgh, to buy locally sourced goods and produce from the royal estates.
Nelson Silva, who saw the royal couple, told TMZ: “I noticed a couple choosing loaves of bread and the woman turned her face and I felt like I had seen the face before. It was familiar.
“I went to my car and as they came out of the shop I just filmed them. I think they walked out through a gate out of the grounds. They just vanished and I didn’t see a car.
“Kate looked happy and relaxed. They look happy just to be able to go to a shop and mingle.
“Kate looked relieved, like it was a success going to a shop. It felt natural.”
