Meghan Markle is not under threat of copyright claims after fans spotted similarities between the Duchess's Netflix trailer and Pamela Anderson's 2024 lifestyle promo.
The Duchess of Sussex uploaded the original trailer for the eight-part "With Love, Meghan" on her Instagram account on January 2.
Royal watchers immediately took to social media to compare the two trailers.
Stephen Lowry, Head of Trade Marks, Copyright, and Designs at Brandsmiths Law Firm, explained to GB News that copyright infringement requires proof that copying has taken place.

GettyHe told the People's Channel: "Under UK copyright laws, copyright infringement requires proof that copying has taken place.
"As such, whilst there may be coinciding elements between the two shows, such similarities will not give rise to infringement if the works are the results of independent creation, that is, content that is created independently absent copying."
Several royal fans admitted they were excited for the show, with one saying: "Sooo excited."
Another wrote: "I’m going to re-watch this show so many times!!"

A third commented: "I’m so happy she’s doing this."
Similarly, someone posted: "Super excited to watch Meghan do what she loves and is talented at on With Love Meghan.
"She's beautiful inside and out. And I wish her boatloads of success."
However, some royal watchers have claimed that the trailer resembles Pamela's show, "Cooking With Love".
The two shows share similar names, and both are made up of eight episodes.
The Baywatch star first announced her show in February 2023 and released the series in October 2024, just months before Meghan launched her own trailer.
The two lifestyle show trailers include similar dialogue, with Pamela saying: "I just always have wanted to take things to another level."
Meanwhile, Meghan similarly states: "I've always loved taking something pretty ordinary and elevating it."

Another similar moment comes when Pamela and Meghan both double high-fived one of their guests.
One royal watcher wrote: "Markle's show is a straight copy of Pamela Anderson's cooking and entertaining show. Go look at the trailer!"
Another said: "I know I shouldn't be surprised, but I am. Pamela's show looks authentic and like something I'd enjoy watching. I can't believe Netflix didn't see Meghan's show as a complete rip-off of this one!"
The full content of "With Love, Meghan" will be released to Netflix subscribers on Tuesday, March 4.
