Her ex-husband is tipped to have a ‘remarkable story’

Meghan Markle is reportedly “petrified” that a tell-all book penned by her ex-husband could lay bare some guarded information about their failed marriage, a royal expert has said.

Trevor Engelson, who was married to the now Duchess of Sussex for two years, has been tipped to write a bombshell book about their relationship, failed marriage and no-fault divorce.

At the time, the couple cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for the divorce.

Following the split, it is reported that Meghan even sent her wedding and engagement rings back to Engelson in the mail.

Royal expert and author Neil Sean, who has met Engelson, told OK! Magazine that Engelson has been flooded with offers to write a book about his ex.

“Many agents have offered him big deals and big money when Meghan was at the height of her fame,” Sean said.

“I would think that he will take stock and look at all options.”

He added that Meghan “is bound to be petrified” over the book.

“He would truly have a remarkable story because after all, he would have first-hand experience of what it was like to be married the first time around to the actress,” he said.

“I have met him briefly and he strikes me as a nice, caring man who clearly has moved on.

“However, there is no escape from his story.”

News of the book’s contents comes as the Duchess of Sussex looks to make a huge comeback on social media.

Despite having been off any form of social media for about two years, an expert has suggested that she could earn $1million (£800,000) per product post.

Meghan hinted at the return during her interview with The Cut last year, telling the magazine: “Do you want to know a secret? I’m getting back on Instagram.”

Social media expert and advisor Eric Schiffer told the Mail on Sunday that her return to social media is “the next logical step”.

“You have celebrities like the Kardashians who can command $1million and up for a single post promoting a product,” Schiffer said.

“There is no reason Meghan couldn’t be earning those sorts of fees.”
