Meghan Markle has said she is tired of "having to prove herself as a wife and friend" in a new podcast appearance.
The Duchess of Sussex has made her debut as a podcast guest, appearing on The Jamie Kern Lima Show on Monday.
The pair recorded their conversation in "cozy sweats with no makeup." During the conversation, Meghan spoke openly about self-worth and the pressure to prove oneself.
"We spend so much of our lives trying to prove something," she said. "To prove that you're enough. You have to prove that you're pretty enough. You have to prove that you're smart enough."

The Duchess continued: "I'm just so done with the prove it game. And if you can't see it, I can't, I don't need to prove to you why. That's your loss."
She added: "Because I know that I'm a great friend, and I know the kind of mom I am, and I know the kind of human being I am."
Kern Lima praised Meghan as "the most generous friend" who "shows up for your friends."
When asked about her current situation, Meghan revealed she's experiencing "a lot of pinch-me moments right now" whilst juggling multiple projects.

The first collection from her brand sold out in just 45 minutes after launching on April 2.
Meghan addressed critics who question her work ethic, stating: "I work so hard and I appreciate what hard work looks like."
She added: "The moment that everything sells out, it doesn't mean that we're done."

The Duchess also shared updates on her family life during the podcast.
"I'm happy, and the kids are healthy and H [Prince Harry] is great," she said.
She explained that her family is what "fills my cup" while she tries to "enjoy these big wins right now."
Meghan revealed that their Montecito home currently "looks like a Costco or something—there's boxes everywhere," likely referring to her busy work schedule.
She mentioned that she hasn't used the surname Markle since getting married to Prince Harry.
Meghan revealed she only sees "maybe 1 percent" of stories written about her.
On the possibility of writing a memoir similar to Prince Harry's "Spare", she indicated she would consider writing another book but had "a lot more life to live before I'm there".
