Meghan Markle is "desperate for endorsements" after losing a major deal in 2023, a royal commentator has claimed.

The Duchess of Sussex has been linked with several luxury fashion brands, including Dior, as she has set sights on landing a lucrative contract in 2024.

Royal author Tom Bower told Closer that Meghan is working hard to land a deal with a major brand.

Bower said: "Meghan has made huge efforts.

"She does look amazingly good at the moment - and is clearly working hard at it.

"I think she’s looking desperately for an endorsement with something like Dior and that’s been a disappointment because she hasn’t landed one contract."

However, an insider close to Dior has dismissed reports that talks with Meghan Markle took place.

A source told the Telegraph: "The Duchess of Sussex is not in talks to sign a deal with Dior.

"There is no truth to the claims that she will partner with the French fashion house."

It comes as Meghan Markle's multi-million-pound contract with Spotify was cancelled earlier this year.

The Duchess of Sussex produced a podcast with just 13 episodes that left executives at the streaming giant underwhelmed.

Meghan and her husband Prince Harry were publicly slammed by a Spotify executive following the termination of the deal.

In November, the Duchess of Sussex said that she and Prince Harry are preparing to make a major announcement.
