Meghan Markle has confirmed her new lifestyle brand As Ever will not be impacted by President Donald Trump's recently announced global tariffs.

The Duchess of Sussex, 43, told Fortune magazine that her products are all currently manufactured within the United States.

Her comments come after Trump imposed a 10% baseline tariff on imported goods to the US, with higher rates for countries deemed "worst offenders" of unfair trade policies.

The tariff announcement coincided with the launch of Meghan's first As Ever collection on Wednesday, April 2.

The White House stated that approximately 60 trade partners, including China and the European Union, would face higher rates than the baseline 10%.

These countries were described as the "worst offenders" of trade policies deemed unfair by the White House, according to the BBC.

Speaking to Fortune on Monday, Meghan explained her brand strategy during economic uncertainty.

"At the moment, all of our products are currently made in the US.

"But as we look at the larger context of how this is going to affect the consumer day to day, I’m very grateful that in part of the conception of this brand, I wanted to create products that look more prestige, but are more accessible and affordable.

The Duchess added: "I think during any time of recession, people still want to find creature comforts, items that can bring them joy."

The first collection from As Ever proved immensely popular, selling out in under an hour after launch.
