The Duchess of Sussex released her latest project With Love, Meghan on Netflix on Tuesday

Meghan Markle has been branded a "narcissist" following the release of her latest Netflix project, as commentator Clare Muldoon tore apart the royal's new lifestyle series.

The Duchess of Sussex has received widespread criticism for her new series With Love, Meghan, which offers recipes, tips and tricks for hosting and parenthood.

Discussing the series on GB News, Muldoon took aim at the Duchess and claimed Meghan is "one of the most narcissistic women on the planet", and also "one of the most narcissistic plagiarists" as well.

Muldoon fumed: "She seems to have taken recipes from Instagram pages, and she's now saying, even if you're in a small London flat, you can still do what I can do in my rented Californian farmhouse.

"I've not actually seen it, but I've listened to and I've read lots about it, and it's just one of these things that she will just go on forever and ever and ever."

Delivering his verdict on the show, Breakfast host Eamonn Holmes told the GB News panel that he sees Meghan as nothing more than an "actress".

He added: "I always look at her and I see her as an actress and that is sort of what she does. You don't identify with that back garden or kitchen there at all."

Agreeing with Eamonn, Muldoon said: "I think it's so fake, it's so phoney, and I think it's all an act because, as you quite rightly said, she's an actress."

The commentator also stressed that Meghan's rebrand is contradictory of the "identity she had" before marrying Prince Harry.

Muldoon explained: "I don't think that she is rebranding herself to deliver the identity that she said she had when she was marrying Prince Harry.

"She was very much for young African women, young women of colour across the States and in Africa. When they did that tour, this smacks absolutely nothing of that to me."

Offering her view of the series, host Ellie Costello highlighted one particular segment which emphasised the "unrelatable" aspect of the show - a large rainbow-shaped fruit platter.

Ellie said: "All I've seen is the rainbow platter of fruit, which probably cost about 30 grand worth of fruit.

"I mean, it's huge. I can't see normal everyday parents putting that together."

The series, released on Tuesday, is the latest instalment in the Sussexes £100million deal with streaming giants Netflix.

Ahead of its release, the couple had released a fly-on-the-wall documentary series, a behind-the-scenes documentary about Prince Harry's Invictus Games and the Duke's solo project, Polo.
