Meghan's co-star Mindy Kaling broke cover for the first time since her appearance on the duchess's Netflix show "With Love, Meghan".
The actress broke her silence during Thursday's episode of The View, four months after an awkward exchange about the Duchess of Sussex's title sparked intense online scrutiny.
Kaling and Meghan were filmed making tea sandwiches and ladybug crudités when the Duchess corrected her guest for using "Markle" rather than "Sussex".
During the viral exchange, Meghan was seen correcting Kaling on her surname.

The Duchess told The Mindy Project star: "It's so funny too, that you keep saying 'Meghan Markle'.
"You know I'm Sussex now."
Many fans interpreted the moment as awkward, leading to widespread commentary online.
The exchange occurred in episode two whilst the pair were preparing food for a children's garden party that was being filmed for Meghan's Netflix series.

NetflixSpeaking on The View, Kaling appeared surprised by the strong reactions to the moment, she said: "You know, I had a great time.
"I noticed that whenever I do something, anything related to Meghan, it becomes... big news.
"We were making sandwiches, and then they'll push in on my face on TikTok and they'll be like, 'Look at this emotion you felt,' and I honestly didn't even remember it because we shot it like, nine months ago.
"I loved my time with Meghan. I'm also like, let her promote her show... it was great and really fascinating seeing the reaction."

NetflixDuring an interview with Time Magazine last month, Kaling revealed how she came to appear on the show.
She explained: "I was on maternity leave with my daughter in March and April, and Meghan texted me that she was doing a show where she was going to cook for her friends."
Kaling described the filming as "a fun maternity leave field trip".
She added: "I left with a basket of fresh produce and homemade jam and hot sauce because she knew I loved hot sauce. She's a very generous woman who knew I needed a break."
