Meghan Markle has been criticised for "ruffling feathers" with her latest "calculated" move, which saw the Montecito-based royal break a promise she made to the late Queen Elizabeth II.
Appearing on the Jamie Kern Lima Show - a friend of Meghan's and the founder of IT Cosmetics, the Duchess of Sussex claimed she and husband Prince Harry entered the "trenches" in the early stages of their relationship.
However, Meghan sparked further fury after pictures were shown during the podcast of a gift hamper she had sent to Lima - with a card signed "with the compliments of HRH The Duchess of Sussex".
Appearing to break a promise made to the late Queen upon stepping back as working royals, the Sussexes had agreed not to use them in 2020, as a Palace statement confirmed: "The Sussexes will not use their HRH titles as they are no longer working members of the Royal Family."

Discussing the move on GB News, royal commentator Sarah-Louise Robertson criticised Meghan's appearance on the podcast, claiming she appeared "insincere" and "breathy".
Discussing Meghan's use of HRH, Robertson said: "The reason why this has caused such a fuss and such a furore with the Palace and with royal commentators and with the British people, is the Queen specified to Harry and Meghan that when they quit the Royal Family, no longer wanted to be working royals, they could not use the HRH title or cash in on it.
"Now that was what the Queen specified. And to be fair to them, they haven't seem to have done that so far, but Meghan, maybe her memory's suddenly lapsed again in the five years that has passed, but she appears to have started using her HRH title, going against the Queen's wishes."
As GB News's Tom Harwood questioned whether the gift basket using the HRH title could have been sent "before Harry and Meghan left the Royal Family", Robertson disagreed.
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:
Robertson said: "You have to realise everything that Meghan does is so thoughtful, it's meticulous. She plans everything to the detail. Nothing is left by chance, and all bets are off.
"When it comes to Meghan, she knows exactly what to do to get people talking about her brand, she is her brand, and she knows how to ruffle feathers and how to get people talking about her. So this was very calculated."
Suggesting that Meghan "knew the images of the gift would be shared" by Lima, Robertson added: "She knew Lima was going to post this to social media, she knew it was going to get people talking and people getting annoyed and irritated.
"And that's what she wants, because it keeps her in the public eye. It keeps her brand being spoken about."

Hitting out at Meghan's latest controversial move, host Emily Carver fumed: "It just really winds me up, her talking on this pathetic podcast. It was just gushing and sycophantic and nonsense, really.
"Talking about how it was like being in the trenches, and after all the support we gave her as a country and all the support we gave Prince Harry through their wedding, and to immediately say, oh, we had no honeymoon at all, we were in the trenches - and then she is using the HRH title still to try and sell some jam. I mean seriously?"
Agreeing with Emily, Robertson concluded: "She's just effectively cashing in, isn't she."
Speaking on the podcast about the gift basket, Meghan said: "I knew when I dropped off that strawberry - it wasn't even preserves as it didn't have time to set - I just made it quick because we had a lot of strawberries at the time.
"I just knew that even if we never talked about it, that it would brighten your day."
