Meghan Markle 'furious' with Kate as Princess of Wales reaches out to Prince Harry

King Charles is thought to be the only senior member of the Royal Family that is in contact with Meghan and Harry.

A royal insider has claimed that Kate feels terrible that Prince Harry has little contact with the Royal Family and blames Meghan for the current frosty relationship.

The insider said: "Kate feels terrible that the royals and Harry are at this current impasse with so little contact between them".

They added: "She blames Meghan for it almost entirely and the longer it goes on the more it upsets and frustrates her".

However, this has left Meghan furious with the Princess of Wales according to the source.

They told Heat magazine: "Kate's let it be known to the Palace aides who still speak to the Sussexes that she thinks it's an extremely poor show the way Harry's being treated.

"But Meghan is furious and thinks Kate has no right getting involved in her marriage.

"She would never dream of interfering between her and William."

Earlier, this month a royal commentator claimed the Princess of Wales was often the peacemaker during royal feuds.

Valentine Low said: "She was often the peacemaker, or tried to be the peacemaker, with Harry."

Speaking on the Scandal Mongers Podcast, Low also went into detail on the origins of the now-infamous phrase ‘recollections may vary’ used in response Meghan Markle's Oprah interview.

The Duchess of Sussex heavily criticised the Royal Family in 2021 TV interview.

Low said: "The person who was adamant that it [the phrase] should stay in was Kate... because she made the argument that we've got to lay down a marker to say that we challenge some of this narrative because otherwise it's going to be accepted as true and we've got the future reputation of the Royal Family to think about.

"It shows a side of Kate that's not always appreciated - that she's far steelier... she's thinking about the longer term."
