Meghan Markle's ex-best friend makes subtle reference to fallout with royal

Meghan Markle's former best friend Jessica Mulroney took to social media with a cryptic message, which appeared to be a subtle reference to her fallout with the Duchess of Sussex.
On her Instagram story, Mulroney shared a quote that read: "As loving as I am, my detachment game is strong too."
The stylist, 43, has two twin sons, Brian and John, who served as page boys during Prince Harry and Meghan's royal wedding.
However, Mulroney's friendship with the former Suits actress appeared to take a break three years ago during the height of the Black Lives Matter (BLM) protests after George Floyd's death.

At the time, a prominent influencer named Sasha Exeter called Mulroney's behaviour "problematic" because she didn't make a public statement about the BLM movement.
This led to the stylist being dropped from many high-profile networks as a result.
Mulroney had previously made huge waves in her career, even dressing the likes of Sophie Trudeau.
Meghan distanced herself from the stylist after this, despite being very good friends for a number of years.

One source told Daily Mail their friendship is no longer “what it once was”. Mulroney has never commented on reports of her drifting away from Meghan.
But the Duchess has remained quiet on the topic and has not publicly spoken about her friend in years.
The duo met when Meghan was an actress on Suits and was living in Toronto.
Meghan, 42, was regularly pictured at glamorous events with the Canadian mother-of-three.

As well as tagging each other in posts on Instagram, the Duchess often gushed about her best friend on her former lifestyle blog The Tig.
In a post from December 2015, the 42-year-old said that "the room stops" whenever Mulroney "shows up at an event".
In her recent Netflix documentary, Harry & Meghan, the Duchess shared footage of the night Harry proposed in 2017.
She had FaceTimed her friend "Jess" during the proposal, which was most likely Mulroney.
