The former Palace aide said he has 'no regrets' about exposing the bullying allegations against Meghan Markle back in 2018

Meghan Markle's fresh bullying allegations "couldn't be worse timing", is has been claimed, as the Duchess prepares to launch her lifestyle brand and latest Netflix project.

The Duchess of Sussex has been dealt a damning blow by former royal aide Jason Knauf, who claimed that he "wouldn't change anything" after shining a light on bullying allegations back in 2018.

In a new interview with 60 Minutes Australia, Knauf was asked how he dealt with being in the public spotlight after the attention surrounding the leaked email went global.

Knauf said: "I think it's tough, but it's probably quite good. You can't choose just to take the fun stuff in any job, and that applies to the prince and princess as well as everyone else working for them. So, I wouldn't change anything."

Speaking to GB News about the bombshell interview, royal reporter Sarah Louise Robertson claimed that Knauf is a "very clever man" and has "waited" for his moment to speak out about the allegations.

Robertson said: "It was very, very veiled. Jason's a very clever PR man, and the timing couldn't have been worse for Meghan Markle.

"She's just about to release her new show on Netflix, she's about to release her new brand As Ever, and Jason has waited and waited."

Highlighting how Knauf addressed the incident in his interview "without saying something", Robertson reaffirmed his clever strategy in avoiding a breach in any possible NDA he has signed.

Robertson explained: "He was the person that instigated that email chain where we heard that Meghan allegedly had bullied two former Buckingham Palace aides, so he was the person that drew attention to that back in 2018.

"Now he's waited - he's obviously been signed to an NDA, but it was very, very clever how he said it because he said something without saying something."

Discussing the timing of Knauf's interview ahead of Meghan's latest project launches, Robertson stated that Knauf is "bringing this back to the spotlight" just as the Duchess plans to rebrand with her lifestyle company and accompanying Netflix series.

Robertson said: "He wouldn't have changed the circumstances of what he did, which was drawing attention and bringing light to Meghan's behaviour.

"This comes on the back of that Vanity Fair article in which the bullying was raised again from other members of staff who have worked for Meghan and Harry in California, not at the Palace, but in California."

She added: "So, Jason, bringing this back to the forefront of what he dealt with back in 2018 when he was working for the royal household, it's brought it all back to light, and it's a very, very sticky situation for Meghan."

Knauf also shed light on Meghan's husband, Prince Harry, and his view on the future of the monarchy.

He said: "I can't speculate on the future, they achieved a lot together and none of that can ever be taken away, this may be an extraordinary family that everyone gets to talk about and write about and see be interviewed and all that sort of stuff but at the end of the day it's a family."
