Meghan Markle's “constant hugging” of Prince William sparked rumours that the duchess was “flirting” with the future King, a new report has claimed.
During Meghan’s time in the Royal Family, tension reportedly developed between William and his brother Prince Harry due to Meghan’s warm, friendly, hug-everyone approach.
The Times report said: “Meghan hugged him (William) virtually every time they bumped into each other.”
The clash of cultures “deepened the rift between the brothers”, the Times claimed, with gossip among staff spreading she was flirting with William.

The Times article said “she was obviously not” flirting, but the rumours and affection created a “tense atmosphere.”
The Duchess of Sussex was “understandably hurt” by the “pompous” reaction to her gestures.
The Times report also describes the royal's reaction to the duchess approaching them for a hug, claiming Princess Kate, Prince William, and the King flinched.

Prince Harry is thought to not be on speaking terms with Prince William or King Charles after their relationship became fractured.
