Meghan Markle has the "perfect excuse" not to attend King Charles's Coronation, according to a royal commentator.
Prince Harry and Meghan's son Archie's fourth birthday is on May 6 the first day of King Charles's Coronation.
Charles Rae stated that the Duchess of Sussex could choose to stay in California for her son's birthday rather than fly to the UK for the ceremony.
Rae told GB News: "There is also suggestions that only Harry will come.

"Let's not forget that Meghan has a perfect excuse not to turn up.
"On the same day, it is the fourth birthday of little Archie.
"So, it may well be that she'll stay behind and enjoy the celebrations with her son."
He added: "There is an argument that says Harry and Meghan should be there.
"Then, there also an argument that says they shouldn't be there because of what's happened in the past, the continual sniping at other members of the family."
The royal commentator stated that he felt Prince Harry "should be there" at his father's Coronation.
It comes as Prince Harry is set for crunch talks over whether he and Meghan Markle will attend King Charles's Coronation in May 2023.
The King has asked his close friend Justin Welby, the Archbishop of Canterbury, to broker a deal with the Sussexes.

Last month, Prince Harry was quizzed on whether he will be present at his father’s coronation during an interview with ITV’s Tom Bradby.
The presenter asked: “If you are invited to the coronation will you come?”
Prince Harry replied: "There’s a lot that can happen between now and then.”
He added: “But, the door is always open. The ball is in their court.
