Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have suffered another staffing setback after the announcement that a senior advisor has left their role at Archewell.
Christine Schirmer served as senior advisor for the royal couple’s nonprofit organisation which was founded in 2020.
She joined the same year that it was set up, serving as communications director before transitioning to senior advisor in 2021.
Schirmer, who will now work at the Brunswick Group - a public relations firm, is the latest staff member to step away from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
The total number of staff the Sussexes have lost since they tied the knot in 2018 is said to be at least 18, with nine or more having left since the pair left the UK in 2020.
Earlier this month, Josh Kettler, their Chief of Staff, stepped away from the position, just three months after he was hired.
Soon after joining, Kettler joined Prince Harry on his most recent trip to the UK in May. He was reportedly hired to “guide him [Harry] through his next phase”.
Whilst initial reports speculated that Kettler quit, a US publication with links to Meghan and Harry reported that Kettler's departure was mutual.

GettyPeople have said that Kettler was hired on a trial basis and that both sides felt he was not the right fit for the position when mutually deciding to go in a different direction.
The pair have have lost several employees since making the move across the pond, with one former worker telling The Daily Mail: “What may be most telling is that the entire time I worked there, I don't think I heard a single current or former employee on their staff say they would take the job again if given the chance.
“These aren't employees they had just found off the streets.
“Many of them are people who had previously excelled working for demanding bosses in high-performance companies and environments.”
The pair are also still searching for a CEO for the Duchess of Sussex's lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard. It was launched earlier this year, but so far, no products have been put on sale.
Meghan has not been fruitful in her search for someone to head up the firm, with a source claiming this is due to the couple's demanding style of management.
The source told Closer: “The brutal reality is Harry and Meghan are the toughest of taskmasters, they are very demanding and difficult to work for, and that puts a lot of people's backs up.”
