Jeremy Clarkson, who is currently filming for a fourth season of his hit Amazon Prime farming show, wrote in The Sun and on X in 2022 that he was "dreaming of the day when [Meghan] is made to parade naked through the streets of every town in Britain while crowds chant, 'Shame!' and throw lumps of excrement at her".

The column also stated that he loathed Meghan "on a cellular level".

Upon hearing the news, one fan wrote on X: "Shame on Prince William [for] doing a show with Jeremy Clarkson after [the] nasty and vile things he said about his brother's wife..."

Another said: "Prince William appearing on Clarkson's Farm is a slap in the face for Meghan Markle, after the way Jeremy Clarkson spoke about her."
