The Duke and Duchess of Sussex surprised fans by attending a film premiere

Meghan Markle added a "touch of intrigue" to the red carpet in Jamaica as she posed with Prince Harry, a commentator exclusively told GB News.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex attended the film premiere of “Bob Marley: One Love” in Kingston, Jamaica earlier this week.

Meghan, 42, looked beautiful wearing a Carolina Herrera "ball skirt" in black, which she paired with a Jimmy Choo black "J Box" clutch bag.

However, it was her large 18-karat gold disc earrings designed by Jennifer Meyer that caught the attention of a jewellery expert.

The £2,554 ($3,250) earrings have the following description: "One of our favourites from the collection, this chic, standout pair of disc earrings are crafted from hammered, subtly textured 18-karat gold and set on delicate ear wires.

"Timeless, sophisticated and ultra-lightweight, wear yours to transition from day to night with ease."

Tony French, the Regional Sales Manager at Austen & Blake spoke exclusively to GB News about why these earrings added a "touch of intrigue" to Meghan's outfit.

He said: "Meghan’s choice of earrings is a great example of how a statement piece of jewellery can transform an outfit.

"In this case, Meghan’s all-black ensemble has been elevated with these large yellow gold earrings.

"They’re a bold and energetic design that adds a touch of intrigue to the whole look."

During the film premiere, Harry and Meghan posed beside Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness and his wife, Juliet Holness.

In 2022, Princess Kate and Prince William travelled to Jamaica as part of their royal tour of the Caribbean.

Holness was seen on camera telling the Prince and Princess of Wales that Jamaica is "moving on", implying they want to become a republic and leave the Commonwealth.

Harry's appearance in Jamaica came a week after he was inducted into the Living Legends of Aviation at a glitzy awards gala.

Meghan chose not to attend the bash to look after her children Prince Archie, four, and Princess Lilibet, two, according to reports.

The duchess's appearance in Jamaica is the first known time she has returned to the island since her 2011 wedding to her previous husband, Trevor Engelson.
