The Duchess of Sussex unveiled a virtual shop where her fans can purchase items chosen by the former working royal

Meghan Markle's new announcement has sparked chaos as websites struggle to deal with an influx of demand for products promoted by the Duchess of Sussex.

Prince Harry's wife has launched an online merchandise shop featuring luxury items including a £1,068 "Windsor" gown and £600 Saint Laurent sandals.

The Duchess of Sussex unveiled the collection to her 2.6 million Instagram followers, offering them a glimpse inside her wardrobe with handpicked pieces from brands like Heidi Merrick, Saint Laurent, Reformation, and J Crew.

"Many of you have asked, so here you go! A little shopping to start the week," the Duchess wrote over a screen-recorded video of her new online store.

Shortly after the storefront went live, some third-party websites crashed as fans rushed to purchase tan-coloured Saint Laurent mules that Meghan has been spotted wearing previously.

The shop includes jewellery that will cost buyers £200.

Also included is a Maya Brenner necklace called 'The Happiness Retreat' priced at almost £400.

The collection comprises mostly elevated basics in neutral shades like beige, brown, white, black, and navy blue.

Shoppers can browse through linen shirts, crewneck sweaters, sunglasses, and handbags.

This latest venture appears connected to her lifestyle brand As Ever, which followed a significant rebrand and name change from American Riviera Orchard.

The launch of the online shop came shortly after Meghan shared a rare photo of herself with her two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

The intimate image shows the trio picking fruit in the garden of their Montecito, California home.

In the snap, Meghan carries three-year-old Lilibet in her arms while five-year-old Archie is nuzzled into his mother's waist.

Both Meghan and her daughter are wearing California-style straw hats as they stroll through the garden of their £14 million mansion.

The Duchess captioned the photo: "Every day is a love story" accompanied by a dove emoji.

Meghan has teased there is "more to come" ahead of the full launch of her As Ever brand.
