Amanda Hirsch previously called the Duchess of Sussex 'inauthentic'

Meghan Markle has sent a generous gift package from her As Ever lifestyle brand to podcaster Amanda Hirsch, who had previously criticised her Netflix show.

The Duchess of Sussex's gesture follows an earlier handwritten letter she sent to Hirsch after the podcaster expressed concerns that Meghan would appear "inauthentic" in her show.

Hirsch, who runs the @notskinnybutnotfat podcast, was delighted with the gifts, saying their relationship had reached the "next step".

Taking to Instagram to share her excitement, Hirsch exclaimed: "First a letter now her jam!!! Are we gonna be bffs? Should I buy a one way to Montecito???"

She showed off the wooden box and handwritten card from the Duchess, saying: "Guess - if you had to guess - what package I just got! I cannot believe it."

Hirsch couldn't contain her enthusiasm when discovering the contents, exclaiming: "Oh my god, tea!"

Upon finding the jam, she sang: "Hallelujah! Have you ever seen such a fancy jam?"

In her original video from January, Hirsch had expressed concerns after watching the teaser trailer for "With Love, Meghan".

"Oh guys I'm genuinely concerned for Meghan. I'm not a Meghan hater at all," she said in the clip.

Hirsch continued: "I understand that some people think she's inauthentic. I get that. I'm so scared for her that this Netflix show will make those claims stronger."

With her fist almost in her mouth, she added: "In the trailer at least she doesn't come across as relatable. I'm just scared for you Meghan."

Following Hirsch's concerns, Meghan sent her a personal note with the message: "Dear Amanda, I heard you were feeling scared. Don't be! This is the fun part, let's enjoy it. As Ever, Meghan."

The letter, featuring Meghan's immaculate calligraphic handwriting, left Hirsch "absolutely flabbergasted".

"Obviously framing this. Beyond shook. Beyond spiraling. Did I smell the paper? Yes," Hirsch said.

She added: "Am I absolutely flabbergasted and obsessed? F**k yes. Meghan, you have a fan for life."

The gift package included three types of tea, cookie and crepe mixes, and Meghan's famous jam in keepsake packaging.

The generous gift came in a wooden box with a handwritten card from the Duchess, continuing their unexpected connection.
