Meghan Markle has been accused of copying Pamela Anderson's 2024 lifestyle promo, with one social media user branding the two trailers as "so similar it's freaky."

The Duchess of Sussex posted the trailer for the series, titled "With Love, Meghan," on her Instagram account on January 2, just a day after launching the social media profile.

The show is set to air exclusively on Netflix on March 4, after Californian wildfires forced the streaming platform to delay its release.

Royal watchers have claimed that the trailer resembles Pamela's show, "Cooking With Love", with the two shows even sharing similar names.

The Baywatch star first announced her show in February 2023, with the full project released in October 2024, just months before Meghan launched the trailer.

Defenders of the duchess claim that similarities between the two productions are coincidental due to the similar content, closeness of the release dates and the tight production schedules.

The openings of both trailers include the hosts walking in a garden to admire the produce before inviting chefs into the kitchens for family and friends to try out the homecooked meals.

The two also include similar dialogue, with Pamela explaining how "I just always have wanted to take things to another level", while Meghan similarly declares: "I've always loved taking something pretty ordinary and elevating it."

The Duchess also reveals that she's "just learning", while the 57-year-old model said "I'm learning a lot".

Both shows contain eight episodes with common themes of romance, love and joy.

Another similar moment comes when Pamela and Meghan both double high-fived one of their guests.

One social media user wrote: "If you watch the trailer for Pamela's new show, it's a more authentic version of what Meghan was trying to achieve and it looks as though Meghan has copied everything! The trailers are so similar it's freaky."

Another responded: "Markle's show is a straight copy of Pamela Anderson's cooking and entertaining show. Go look at the trailer!"

A third said: "I know I shouldn't be surprised but I am. Pamela's show looks authentic and like something I'd enjoy watching. I can't believe Netflix didn't see Meghan's show as a complete rip off of this one!"

The full content in "With Love, Meghan" is yet to be seen by members of the public.
