Meghan Markle has rushed home to California as the Duchess of Sussex admitted her fear of missing a major milestone with her son, Prince Archie.
The mother-of-two revealed that her five-year-old son Archie had reached a significant childhood milestone by losing his first tooth.
The Duchess of Sussex, 43, shared the news during her appearance at the TIME100 Summit in New York City on Wednesday.
"Archie is losing his first tooth, and I just hope I'm back in time for it," Meghan said during the event.

She expressed her determination to return to California before her son's first big tooth comes in, highlighting the importance of being present for such special family moments.
During the summit, Meghan explained how she balances motherhood with her business ventures.
"What we're going to put out during our next launch is equally as important to me as Archie getting his first [big] tooth this week," she said.
The mother-of-two added that professional achievements can seem "microscopic in importance compared to what's happening with my children."

Meghan described herself as "the happiest I've ever been" when discussing her family life.
"My love language is taking care of people," she added. "It actually energises you."
In a striking coincidence, Archie's milestone comes just as his cousin Prince Louis celebrated his seventh birthday with a new photograph showing his own dental development.
The Prince and Princess of Wales released an image of their youngest son on April 23, 2025, sitting on a tree trunk and smiling to reveal his missing front teeth.

The photo, taken earlier this month in Norfolk by Josh Shinner, was shared on William and Kate's social media accounts with the message: "Wishing Prince Louis a very Happy 7th Birthday!"
The milestone highlights how the royal cousins are experiencing similar childhood rites of passage despite their different circumstances.
While Archie is growing up in Montecito, California, following his parents' decision to step back from royal duties in 2020, Prince Louis remains in the UK as fourth in line to the throne.
The tooth fairy will soon be visiting both households, connecting the cousins through this universal childhood experience.
Archie, who turned five earlier this year, and Louis, now seven, continue to develop their own distinct lives on opposite sides of the Atlantic.
Meghan has been busy with several ventures alongside her family life, including her "Confessions of a Female Founder" podcast and As Ever lifestyle brand.
Her Netflix series "With Love, Meghan" premiered last month and has already been renewed for a second season.
The show features nods to Archie and her daughter Lilibet, three, with Prince Harry making a cameo in the finale.
During the TIME100 Summit, Meghan also spoke about giving herself "the space and grace to make mistakes" as she balances her professional and personal life.
