Lady Colin Campbell said Meghan and Harry are 'empty vessels making a lot of noise'

Lady Colin Campbell has slammed Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, following their latest set of claims laid out in Omid Scobie's new royal biography, Endgame.

The new royal book, which is set to be released in the UK on Tuesday, has claimed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have revealed a second member of the royal family made comments about their son, Archie.

Meghan Markle first made the claim in 2021, when the royal couple sat down with celebrity interviewer Oprah Winfrey for a tell-all interview about their exit from the royal family in 2020.

The couple stepped down as working members of the royal family to seek a more "private" life in America, moving into a mansion in Montecito, California.

Speaking to Oprah, Meghan revealed that "one member" of the family had expressed "concern" about the colour of their son Archie's skin, whilst Meghan was pregnant.

Meghan told Winfrey: "There were conversations about how dark his skin might be when he's born".

The couple refused to name the member of the family, stating it would cause "damage" to the individual.

In Scobie's book Endgame, the Sussexes now claim there were now "two" members of the royal household who expressed concern about Archie's skin colour.

Speaking to GB News host Mark Dolan, Lady Colin Campbell hit out at the new claim and said Scobie "is as accurate and as truthful as Meghan and Harry".

Campbell highlighted: "Harry and Meghan said couldn't even agree on the Oprah interview as to who said what when or where, because Meghan had it when she was pregnant with Archie, and Harry had it before they were married, that there was a concern from one person.

"They now have come up with two people. You're dealing with people who have absolutely no respect for fact and simply just grab things that are going to be column inches.

"It's all about publicity and it's all about empty vessels making a lot of noise."

Another claim in Scobie's book stated that King Charles once called his son Prince Harry "that fool".

Reacting to the claim, Campbell fumed: "The King could have said an awful lot more, I think that calling Harry a fool was very anodic. But my understanding is that he called him a lot worse.

"And let's face facts, he could have actually called him things like traitor, disloyal, iscariot. So calling him a fool is is very, very mild.

Campbell concluded: "I think it's one of the few credible things in all of the excerpts that is credible."
