Meghan and Harry have been accused of "showing-out" at the Invictus Games to try and calm the bad press surrounding them, a royal expert has claimed.
The pair have been in Germany for the sporting event which is set to conclude tomorrow.
Harry, who turned 39 today, was sitting in the crowd with his wife when a presenter asked if it was anyone's birthday, before mentioning it was the Duke's.
The announcer then proceeded to encourage the crowd to sing a rendition of Happy Birthday to the prince.

Kinsey Schofield, a royal expert, told GB News that the occasion was a rare opportunity for the couple to enjoy some good press.
"The Invictus Games is giving Prince Harry and Meghan Markle a rare opportunity to bask in the glory of some positive press.
"They have made an avalanche of poor business decisions and participated in numerous PR opportunities that have left royal watchers unimpressed.
"Of course, they are going to ‘show out’ with all eyes on them and some happy headlines headed their way," she said.
The couple's recent business ventures could be viewed as unsuccessful.
The pair were recently hit with a financial blow in the form of Spotify cancelling their $20million deal, with Meghan’s ‘Archetypes’ podcast performing below the standards expected.
Another financial blow has been mooted with the couple’s $98million Netflix deal reportedly under threat.
Harry recently released Heart of Invictus on the streaming platform, which centres around his sporting event for veterans.
However, it failed to hit Netflix's Top 10 streaming charts in both the UK and US following its release earlier this month.
At the beginning of this year, Harry released his memoir 'Spare', which escalated tensions between the couple and the Royal Family.
The Duke of Sussex spoke in several interviews to promote the book, where he was critical of the Royal Family.
Schofield also said the Sussexes have been left behind by William and Kate's social media surge.
"They have a very hard time competing with the Prince and Princess of Wales when it comes to authenticity and sincerity," she said.
LATEST DEVELOPMENTS:
Schofield also said the the Sussexes were left in the limelight of William and Kate.
Kensington PalacePrince William currently ranks as the most popular royal, whereas Harry came out in the YouGov poll as the third-least popular.
GB News' Cameron Walker said that one of the reasons Kate and William have such strong popularity ratings, both in the UK and the USA, is because they use their platform to shine a spotlight on charity and humanitarian causes close to their hearts.
Last week, Prince William visited a Pret A Manger store in Bournemouth as part of his campaign to end homelessness across the country.
He met with eight representatives from both local and national firms to hear about how they are tackling homelessness in the area.
Kate and William are currently not on speaking terms with the Sussexes, according to reports.
Meanwhile, tensions between the brothers remain high after Harry spoke about William allegedly attacking him in his memoir.
