Lady Louise Windsor is following the Duchess of Edinburgh’s advice as no royal role is available to her, according to new claims.
GB News's Royal Correspondent, Cameron Walker, and Digital Royal Editor, Svar Nanan-Sen, sat down for this week's episode of The Royal Record podcast to discuss the reports that Lady Louise, 20, wishes to join the military.
Prince Edward's daughter is currently studying at the University of St Andrews, where she is a member of the Officers' Training Corps, which provides military training for students.
It comes four years after Louise's mother, Sophie, Duchess of Edinburgh, opened up about wanting her two children to have ordinary careers and not become working royals.

The duchess told The Times in 2020: “We try to bring them up with the understanding they are very likely to have to work for a living.
“Hence we made the decision not to use HRH titles. They have them and can decide to use them from 18, but I think it’s highly unlikely.”
In this week's podcast episode, Svar said: "It seems to be exactly what the Duchess of Edinburgh has previously said about her children Louise and youngest son James.
"That they're going to have to build their own careers and that it doesn't look like there is a working role available to them in the Royal Family.

"So they're going to have to explore different options.
"It looks like Lady Louise at the moment has decided that she's going to go the military route."
Cameron added: "She's 16th in line to the throne, so it's beyond unlikely that she's ever going to have to be on the throne.
"So of course she has to create her own life and career, and that's perhaps why she's gone to university, and why she's pursuing these quite admirable positions or ambitions, I should say.

"So let's see what happens with this one. Watch this space."
The daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh will make history if she joins the military because she will be the first female royal to serve her country since the late Queen Elizabeth II.
A source told The Sun that "she talks about being very keen on a career in the military, serving King and country. She is all about the Army Cadets and has fallen in love with it."
As part of her training, Louise will be undertaking Reserve Officer modules designed to fit around her degree, which will instruct her in everything from how to wear a uniform correctly, to leading others in stressful situations.
