Lady Louise has "fallen in love" as she sets her sights on pursuing a career in the army, according to a source.

The young royal is currently studying at St Andrews University, the same institution Prince William and Princess Kate attended as students.


Lady Louise, 20, is a member of the St Andrews University Officers’ Training Corps.

The daughter of the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh is keen to serve her country and King Charles, according to an insider.

The source told The Sun: "She talks about being very keen on a career in the military, serving the King and country.

"She is all about the Army Cadets and has fallen in love with it."

Last week it was revealed that Princess Charlotte, Lady Louise and Sophie, the Duchess of Edinburgh recently went on a special shopping trip in London.

Charlotte has a good relationship with her great-aunt and the two royals were joined by Louise during a trip to Chelsea.

The royals headed to the Peter Jones store on King's Road which is said to be one of Charlotte's favourite stores.

The source said: "There is a really warm connection between Sophie and her great-niece, which is very touching."

They added on Charlotte and Louise's bond: "Louise adores Charlotte too, but doesn’t see as much of her as she is mostly away in Scotland."

"Her mother, Sophie, had a career in public relations but gave it up to become a working royal.

"Her father Edward had to make a statement to ask for Sophie’s privacy when their relationship was revealed."
