The Norwegian Royal Family gathered in Oslo to celebrate Easter
King Harald of Norway has been officially pictured for the first time since being discharged from hospital.
The King of Norway looked happy and well in a photo taken just weeks after he underwent surgery and was fitted with a pacemaker.
Harald, 87, was seated next to Queen Sonja at Bygdø Kongsgård, their royal residence in Oslo.
They were joined by their son, Crown Prince Haakon and Crown Princess Mette-Marit along with their grandchildren, Princess Ingrid Alexandra and Prince Sverre Magnus.
The picture, which was posted on the family’s official Instagram page, was accompanied by a special Easter message.
It said: "The royal family wishes everyone a really good Easter. The royal couple and the Crown Prince family have been gathered at Bygdø Kongsgård at the beginning of Easter week."
The King has been on sick leave since being discharged from hospital leaving his son to take up royal duties.
Crown Prince Haakon, 50, is heir to the throne of Norway as the only son of King Harald V and Queen Sonja.

The King and Queen also share an older daughter, Princess Märtha Louise, however, since November 2022 she does not carry out any official duties for the Royal House of Norway.
When the King left hospital, the Norwegian royal household released a statement confirming his health update.
They said: "His Majesty the King has today been discharged from the National Hospital and is doing well.
"The King is on sick leave until Monday, April 8 for rest and recovery."

The monarch was hospitalised late last month for an infection while on holiday in Malaysia.
He was later transferred to Norway for further treatment and received a pacemaker implant during a scheduled operation.
The future Queen of Norway, Princess Ingrid Alexandra, 19, looked radiant in an oversized grey blazer with matching trousers and a white top.
Alexandra started her military training in January where she is expected to spend a year at the Engineer Battalion in Brigade Nord and then go on to Skjold camp in Indre Troms.
LATEST ROYAL NEWS:
The last Norwegian Queen was 600 years ago; Queen Margaret reigned over Norway, Denmark and Sweden from the late 1380s to 1412.
Alexandra’s younger brother Prince Sverre Magnus looked more casual in a navy blue and green striped shirt over a white T-shirt.
Despite King Harald’s recent health problems, he has previously claimed he would never consider stepping down from the thrown prematurely like the former Queen of Denmark.
The Norwegian King said: "I stick by what I’ve always said, that I swore an oath to the Storting (Parliament) and it is for life."
