King Frederik and Queen Mary reveal stunning new official family portraits from inside Christiansborg Palace.
Three photos posted on Instagram show the Royal Family posing in the Throne Room of their Palace in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The King and Queen stand with their children, Crown Prince Christian, 18, Princess Isabella, 16 and 13-year-old twins Prince Vincent and Princess Josephine.
The photos were taken by photographer Dennis Stenild moments after the King’s proclamation which took place from The Throne Room’s balcony on January 14 2024.

Queen Mary wears a beautiful white dress in the photo which was designed by Soeren Le Schmidt and sewn by Birgit Hallstein.
In Europe, Queen Consorts traditionally wear white on the day their husband’s become King like Queen Camilla wore white on the day of King Charles’s Coronation.
Princess Isabella looked elegant in a bright, red coat with her hair in a high bun styled with black high heels.
Her younger sister, Josephine opted for a plain black jacket with four gold buttons, black tights and black patent shoes.

Translated from Danish, the post read: “The throne room at Christiansborg Castle forms the setting for the first official portraits of Their Majesties the King and Queen.
“The portrait series was taken by photographer Dennis Stenild a few moments after the King’s proclamation, which took place from the throne room’s balcony on 14 January 2024.”
Fans of the Royal Family were quick to compliment the royals with one social media user stating: “Lovely photos congrats!”

In the photographs, the King wears a royal regalia uniform with medallions and a light blue sash.
The photographs come after the King released a surprise book just three days into his reign.
