King Charles worries about Prince Harry's future once ‘all the money runs out’

A royal commentator has claimed in his new book that King Charles is "worried" about his younger son.

Author Robert Jobson wrote: “The ‘Harry problem’, as it’s known among Palace staff, continues to plague the King.

“‘What worries His Majesty, and his top team,’ says a Palace official, ‘is what is going to happen when all the money runs out.'”

Prince Harry and Meghan have had an unconventional income stream since stepping back as working royals.

In 2020, the couple signed lucrative deals with Netflix and Spotify to produce content.

Their deal with Spotify has since come to an end via a mutual decision as of 2023.

However, the duke and duchess are still producing content for Netflix, including two upcoming programmes this year.

Prince Harry is producing a series about his love of polo, while Meghan is showcasing her love of cookery and gardening to coincide with her new lifestyle brand, American Riviera Orchard.

Jobson suggested in his new biography Catherine, Princess of Wales, that the Sussexes want to produce content which does not discuss their former roles as working royals.

He explained this is because “the public has wearied of their constant complaints”.

​The author added that while Prince William has completely cut off contact with his younger brother, the King will never do so.

King Charles last saw the Duke of Sussex when the latter flew to the UK in February after learning of his father’s cancer diagnosis.

The pair were said to have only met briefly for half an hour at Clarence House in London.

Harry did not see his father when he visited London in May to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games, citing the King’s busy schedule.
