In March, French President Emmanuel Macron asked the UK Government to postpone Charles's visit after nationwide clashes across France led to hundreds of arrests and police officers being injured.
The protests were in relation to retirement reforms in France and not linked to the King's State Visit.
King Charles can speak French fluently and it is expected he will demonstrate this during the three-day trip.
The Royal Family also accompanied its social media of King Charles boarding the plane to France with a separate post that translated his message to French.
